Spontaneous Aesthetics.

I was born in Baghdad to Iranian parents. I grew up in Tehran till the age of 11 and went to study in UK at the age of 13.

I studied fine Arts, photography and Graphic Design in Guildford and Reitgate in Surrey and graduated from London University of Communications, previously known as LCP. My first job was as an Advertising Art Director where I learned about creative thinking & writing. I moved to Dubai in 1993 and worked as Executive Creative Director of BBDO winning many new businesses and awards.

In 2004 I went back to Photography and Fine Arts as my main creative outlet and in 2008 established Joy Films in Dubai and Beirut as Streetwise Films, a creative based film production company with a focus on digital and human stories.

Most of my work is private and commercial commissions although I sometimes produce works for exhibitions.

My work is spontaneous, freestyle, experimental and thus I never know where it begins, I let intuition guide me but recognize when to stop and know when it's done. I often use mixed media and chemical reactions. Life is a chemical reaction. I am drawn to the unknown and the hidden as they inspire me to see art that is all around us. I am drawn to abstract emotions which reflect my romantic views of the world. I do not care whether my work is called Art or not. I am content with the pleasure of creating aesthetics.
